What is stored, for how long, and how to erase it.

Who is responsible

Full details on Legal information. There is no data protection officer: the service is small enough that the law does not require one.

What is stored

• Your email address, only in the sign-in service, to send you a one-time link. It is never shown to anyone and is not stored with your deeds.
• Your pseudonym, the only name anyone sees.
• Your deeds: the text, the language, the kind of recipient, the city if you gave one, when it was told and edited, roughly when it happened if you said, and which deed inspired it. Never a precise location, and never an exact date for the deed itself.
• Your reactions to deeds. Counts are shown to the narrator of the deed only, never publicly.
• Reports you make: the reason, your words, your email if you gave it, and a hashed session key that stops the same session reporting a deed twice. The narrator never sees who reported.
• Moderation decisions: which deed, which decision and rule, when, kept for one year.
• Given-up pseudonyms: when an account is erased, a folded form of its pseudonym is kept for one year so nobody can step into the name; it is not linked to any person.

What is not stored

No advertising, no tracking across sites, no location beyond a city you chose yourself, no IP addresses in the database. The hosting providers keep ordinary server logs for a short time.

How visits are counted

Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookie. A visitor is a hash made from the request and discarded after 24 hours; what is kept for each page view is the time, the page, the site you came from, the country and city of the request, the browser, the operating system and the kind of device, as aggregate numbers only, never an IP address and never anything that follows you to another site. Nothing is counted on the pages that are one person’s own, and a pseudonym’s page is counted without the pseudonym, so no number exists for any one narrator.

Cookies and what your browser keeps

There is no cookie banner here, because there is nothing to consent to. A cookie is set only when you sign in: it keeps you signed in and nothing else. Your browser also remembers, on your device alone, a deed you started writing, the last city you chose and whether you asked for the dark theme. None of it is read by anyone else, none of it follows you to another site, and clearing your browser data removes all of it. Swedish law asks that you be told about this, and asks for your consent only for cookies that are not necessary. There are none.

If you write to us

A message sent through the form on Contact is emailed to the person who runs the service, together with a reply address if you gave one. It is not stored in the database; the email is the record, and it is kept no longer than the matter takes.

Who processes it

The database and the sign-in service run on Supabase, the site on Vercel, and email is sent through a transactional mail service; each acts on the operator’s instructions. Data may be processed outside the EU under their standard contractual clauses.

The text of a deed is also sent to OpenAI when it is told, so that a model can read it and say whether it looks as though it points at someone who could be found, suggests that someone is in danger, or is itself abusive. Only the deed’s own words go: not your pseudonym, not your email, not the city. OpenAI acts on the operator’s instructions, does not use it to train anything, and keeps nothing. Nothing the model says decides anything by itself; it only asks the narrator a question, or puts the deed in front of the person who runs Inspirly. If it cannot be reached, the deed is published as normal.

How long, and how to erase

Deeds stay until you withdraw them. Withdrawing removes the text and your name and keeps an empty place in the ripple. Erasing your account, from your page, withdraws every deed, deletes your reactions, pseudonym and email, and cannot be undone. Reports are kept while open and for one year after a decision. The list of cities a Narrator can pick from comes from GeoNames, licensed CC BY 4.0. Only a city centroid is used, never an address.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what is stored about you, have it corrected or erased, and complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Write to contact@inspirly.io. The legal basis for storing your pseudonym, deeds and reactions is the agreement you make by using the service; for reports and moderation records it is the operator’s legal obligations under the Digital Services Act.
